I know its not too manly but I'm digging the new album from
Feist - The Reminder , several good videos on youtube from that album.

    WOW Hank, Joanna Newsom

i thought rob and i were the only ones secure enough with our manhood to admit to liking her... i think she's so dreamy
i've got a serious fetish for elfin women
Y's is good, but i think i like milk-eyed mender better

ok here's 2 more, both just recently released

    MENOMENA : friend or foe
fun indie experimental band from Portland, sweet baritone sax

    Dinosaur JR: Beyond
yes that band from the 90's is back w/ their original line up and it kicks ASS! best guitar licks evar!!!

i dont mind Comet on fire, but must admit they tend to get a little jam bandish for me to "love" them. the feedbacky noise stuff is fun, but as a 6 minute "jam" it gets a little...well, noisy.

What's not to like about a beautiful young Harpsinger with a freakish voice and amazing talent? Her lyrics are the most interesting I've heard in years! I'm spellbound. Listen to "Emily" out in the desert some night...
Milk-eyed Mender is great, too...I just prefer the longer songs on Ys. "Only Skin" is 16 minutes of heaven.

I wanted to see Dino when they were here in April, but had a trip already lined up :-( did you go? Menomena unfamiliar but sax appeals...I'll check 'em out - thanks for the tip.

Noisy - yeah, they're my fave noise band right now. More noise, mo' betta. Loud, loud, loud! What tracks have you heard? Some of the newer stuff isn't so noisy (Avatar) so might want to revisit. Or not...

I got Ozzy Osbourne - Tomorrow spinnin' right now.

I'm fighting the prominent local music tastes (country) tooth and nail.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
