I've found a few additions to my play list, some that even surprised me.
Weezer. I always thought they were a decent band that got a bit of air play but that there was nothing special. Boy was I wrong. They're gold. I hit Graywhale and picked up Maladroit, the Blue Album, and the Green ablum.
Dave Matthews Band. I know, I know. DMB has been a staple for years, but I wasn't really sold (mostly because of the fiddle player). That was until I heard a live album. He could still use some work in the studio, but I'd pay full price to see him live.
KT Tunstall. I'm as surprised as you. After hearing that pile of crap "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" song ad nasaeum on the radio for the past two years I never thought I'd buy her album. Well, if I was her I'd slap my manager. She's an amazing musician and has put out some great albums. Why they chose the crappiest two songs to release as singles is beyond me.
How did I learn about all this musical goodness? www.pandora.com
I also bought The Police: Message in a Box and Squeeze: Greatest Hits.Remember kids, don't try this at home. Try it at someone else's home.

In the waiting room
I don't want the news
I cannot use it

I won't live by it
Sitting outside of town
Everybody's always down

Because... they can't get up
Ahhh... Come on and get up
Come on and get up
But I don't sit idly by
Ahhh...
I'm planning a big surprise
I'm gonna fight for what I want to be
I won't make the same mistakes
Because I know
Because I know how much time that wastes
And Function
Function is the key

Up for the waiting room

Some how I knew you'd like that one. Yeah, good stuff . That would have been a great show to be at but the crowd looked a lot more subdued than I would have expected. Thanks for the lyrics to Waiting Room. I don't think I've ever seen them in print before. Here's a pretty cool video of it on youtube;
