I'm a summer intern. I'm studying Mining Engineering at the University of Utah, and the students are encouraged to seek employment at a mine during the summer, so here I am.

I'm in the Operations side of things (truck tires, drill bits, etc), and I find it a dreadful bore! One of my classmates is out here as well and he's working in Ore Control. He goes out after every blast and stakes off the ore/waste contact so the shovels know where to dig. Fascinating!! I'm so jealous of him! You should see some of the cool rocks he finds.

I've taken a few photos out here of trucks and stuff. Maybe I'll post a few here pretty soon.
