Kanarra Creek - if you could call it that?

Well a report anyway. We didn't make it that far. We drove down to Kanarra to see what we could or could not see. We had a few hours to kill before the Mesquite buffet started calling. The river was strait up rapid. We got to the first river crossing and parked. It may have taken the car down the river.

The river was across the road in three places. A 4X4 with a lift and a driver with some white knuckles would be required to make it to the top parking area. We only made it to about the entrance of the canyon. I would really like to go back this year. It looks like a good time and you could drive in much further if the river was normal. I am no expert in this sport, but I would say that this canyon is inaccessible at the moment. Not safe for anyone. See the pictures for more detail.

    Great pics!!!

Kanarra is running EXTREMELY high right now. Apparently it didn't take an expert in the sport to figure out that traversing that canyon is hazardous to your health right now.

Looks like a cool canyon, I'd love to see it when the flowrates are a few hundred cfs lower than current conditions.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Yeah I would think? There might be some wacko macho that would give it a shot with a wet suit? Anyone?

    See the video here:

It shows how full the "creek" was, and shows some funny crossings.
