    Canyoneering Word & Picture Game

    Ok simple rules:

#1 Simple, POST DAMN IT or none of us can play.
#2 Pick a slot canyon that starts with the last letter of the previous chosen slot name from the previous post.
#3 Show a picture of that slot. (Hotlinking works from another site or you can upload your own)

You can use this site http://www.climb-utah.com/ or others for reference and pictures. I am sure Shane wont care since he is a user here and he gets hits on his site.

    Simple enough!

    Here goes the first:

    The Squeeze

***So the next persons slot would have to start with the letter "E"

Starting with "E"? Challenging, but I found one.

    Elephant Butte.

So I guess the next one is "E" also. HA HA

This one's easy. Eardley Canyon. I've actually done this one, just last year as a matter of fact. This pic is looking down from the final rap (about 25 - 30 feet) to a large swimmer. Last year when we did it, this pool was so full that it was a mandatory swimmer (in this pic it's low, and it looks like they just got in it for fun).

...good luck on the letter Y.

    We will go with "N"

    Not Mindbender

    SWEET!

Ok found one of Yellow Jacket:

    Found here: http://www.4x4now.com/trutdp.htm

The search feature is a beautiful thing.

Well, don't mean to dis on your previous entry, but technically EVERY canyon should start with the letter N (since every canyon ENDS with the letter N - canyoN)

So, I propose we stick with the original plan, and go with Y.

Northeast of Arches Nat'l Park there's a little canyon that empties into the Colorado River called Yellow Jacket Canyon, let's go with that one. I don't have any pictures for it, nor do I know of anyone who might as it's undocumented - it may well be a "virgin" slot canyon.

That's "T" for the next guy...and let's say that you can't use the word "The" as part of the canyon name either.

    Hey Ben, wazzzzuupp?!

As you can see, school is out, and I'm bored out of my mind! How are things in Logan these days?

    Anyways, here goes for L:

    Leprechaun Canyon

    Looks cool!!

I wonder if Shane is gonna get pissed we're using all these pics from his site...

    N should be easy too.

    Neon Canyon

This is called the golden cathedral in Neon Canyon:

FYI...use the google search at the top for more canyoneering sites. That is how I found this one. Number one result doing a search for "slot canyons".

    Found it here: www.americansouthwest.net/slot_canyons/

Well he is selling things there, so as long as we mention his site every now and then it will only help him. If he was worried he would or should have some sort of watermark on his pictures.

I'm through with Logan! Of course its fair game if i have a local girl and a distance one , but same rules don't apply to her

Good thing, now I can focus more on the important things: canyons, etc.

Neon -> another N word? Negro Bill Canyon ... not a slot, but definitely my favorite politically incorrect canyon out there. Medieval Chamber ends up in N-word Bill canyon.

    Ok so "L"

    Little Death Hollow
This one looks cool and petroglpyhs too! Check it out! http://www.americansouthwest.net/slo...ow/canyon.html

    Heard of it?

Hey rock! Is that nutty putty on your avatar? A friend and I took some dates up there one time. It had just rained and there was the infamous puddle at the bottom of the entrance. Needless to say the dates did not venture past the puddle. But we had a campfire and still scored some points that night. Too bad because one had a white shirt on!

    White Roost Canyon

This little gem is rarely visited, since most people headed out to the Roost are usually head for Mindbender or Larry or Blue John. I loved this little slot. Great picturesque narrows, and not too tough.

This pic was taken with my medium format film camera, and scanned to a digital image to include in my digital portfolio. I also got this pic enlarged to 30 X 20, and it is breath-taking! Every tiny little detail shows up, it's gorgeous. I wish I knew of somewhere I could sell my pics, cause this one would definitely be a seller.

Nope, Fossill Mountain Ice Cave. Teton Range, Wyoming.

Had to go outside of Utah on this one. Close to the border though.

    Havasu Canyon.

    Next is "U".

BTW, I believe that one's currently closed to the general public by our friends the Navajos.
