I got switched on to this idea a few years back. So far All I've got done are: Nebo, Thurston, AF Twins, King's. I made an attepmt at Signal in Washington County in winter- after 5 miles of post-holing we got to the TRAILHEAD. We called it at that point. I'm currious to know what everyone thinks is the mors difficult high-point in Utah. We did Kings in a 13 hr round-trip death-march. I was a horny 17 year old at the time. Something like that would kill me now. Ahhh memories of when I was young and capable.

I have done 18 of the 26 peaks: Thurston, Ibapah, Willard, Deseret, Namoi, Gilbert, Kings, Monument, South Tent, AF Twins, Cardwell, Mine Camp, Brian Head, Andy Nelson, Delano, Waas and Eccentric (plus failed attempts on Nebo and Signal). The hardest one for me was Ibapah. But really for those who are in shape and hike regularly, its shouldn

Forgive me for resurrecting another old thread but the original query on this one was the question about whether anyone had done all the 29 county highpoints. I completed them in 2006 and found doing them took me all over Utah and exposed me to the outstanding areas and places that you wouldn't even know about otherwise.

    The toughest five:
    Kings
    Signal
    Ibapah
    Nebo
    Waas

    The most enjoyable :
    Kings
    Signal
    Ibapah
    Deseret
    Peale

    The easiest five:
    Brianhead (Iron)
    Kane county's liner highpoint
    Carbon county's Monument
    Wasatch county's highpoint (a liner)
    Rich county's Bridger Peak

I have put up a page at Summitpost devoted to the Utah county highpoints and by using it and the easy links I"ve set up, you can get a ton of info on
all of the county highpoints. It is great fun.
