    San Juan river trip

Has anyone done the San Juan river in a kayak, canoe or raft? This river seems perfect to me for a kayaking trip. It's has a gradual slope so the rapids aren't too bad, and has different pull out spots so you can customize your trip.

What areas were you looking at on the river? I can't remember where the San Juan River is, I would imagine near San Juan.

    Yep, the guest was me.

    Near Blanding

The San Juan is near Blanding towards the 4 corners region. It empties into the east side of Powell.

I"ve actually done a lot of rafting-- 3 or 4 trips a year including San Juan a couple times. I'm going back to the San Juan for spring break here in a few weeks. If you're looking for whitewater, go elsewhere, but the views, hikes, and side canyons are absolutely the best!

Sounds perfect because I'm trying to avoid the white stuff. Next time you do the San Juan give us all a trip report. I'd like to hear more about it.
