Maybe try something like CalTopo. I just uploaded the KML to my Caltopo maps and it worked without any problem.

I don't think Google Maps will hold all the data for that large of a KML file. Might want to just use Google Earth. If you must have it in Google Maps, you could save the layers seperate From Google...
