For some reason it didn't feel like that at the time, maybe the camera makes him appear to go faster, closer. But I felt we both had plenty of room for a normal pass.

I've watched the crash in slow-mo, full screen, .25X speed and it's still hard to see what happened. Now I can see his left pedal was down and clipped the rock and it threw his back wheel up.
