I have a Garmin GPSmap 60CS. It is an excellant unit designed especially for GeoCachers. You can get them for around $350.

We didn't see any mtn bikes. You could ride there I'm pretty sure, it is just a long ways from the pavement.

If you take this route, it is about 120 miles.

When a cache goes missing, and they do quite often in high traffic areas, the cache owner has the option to either replace the cache or archive it.

We use our wheelers when the opportunity arises. We spend a lot of time in San Rafael and there are some great wheeler areas there. We also like to hike so it is kind of a 50-50 deal.
