Forum Tricks (ALL users should read this) Lesson #1

Just a note to explain a few things about the forum and how it works. These are essential things that will make your time here more pleasant.

#1 Know your profile settings....specifically your preferences at the bottom of your profile.

Always notify me of replies: Yes or No
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

**This is useful because you know when someone has posted in something that you participated in or created. The board simply sends you an email to alert you. You can change this at the bottom of every topic. There is a link that will say: Watch this topic for replies. Or if you are already subscribed to that thread then it will say: Stop watching this topic

#2 Let me explain private messages or PM's. They are basically an email system that stays on the board. There is also a preference in your profile for this:

Notify on new Private Message: Yes or No The board will again send you an email telling you that you have a PM. If you have a pop up blocker on it may block a pop up telling you that you have a PM. Or you can change this pop up in your profile.

Know those setting and experiment with all of them and see what you like. Again it will make your experience on uutah.com more pleasant. If you have questions, comments, or concerns simply reply to this thread. This software is very intelligent and advanced. Once you learn all the tricks your time here will become more efficient for yourself and everyone else. :2thumbs:
