looks like they finally took the step forward and made a cool add on, I wonder what is next.
Very cool.
And for $79 not too bad either. I love how it snaps onto the back and no cables required.

gives an advantage in the helmet camera war, i wonder what will be next to be released? supposedly lights
that is sick. not very expensive either, which is surprising. gotta get one to try it now.
The BacPac is finally out on amazon :cool2:

I don't know man, $80 is a bit steep. I think I'd pay 40-50, but 80 bucks too much for my taste.
we used it on the grand canyon trip. it is awesome. chews up batteries like no tomorrow though.
both. set up the view with it on, then turn it off and record. we watched some videos off it too.
Can you rewind and fast forward clips? (or skip to a section on the timeline?)
yes.
I picked up the LCD last week, more just for placement view but nice to have all the replay options now.
It could sure use a hood tho - hard to see in daylight
now they have the next release with the back pac bettery. Seems like some cool stuff coming out.
Is there a method to use one of these to go hiking (without using a full on helmet)? The footage of this was sweet.
you can use it however you want, there are dozens of mounts for it. for the price, however, there are probably better options if you don't need waterproof pov-mounts. it's also a not rectilinear, so if it isn't straight to the horizon it looks funny.
Yeah, maybe the chest mount would work for that if you just want to run constant video while walking, @ 30 bucks:

And even the bike seat post mount, clamp it out on the end of your trekking pole for some cool self shots, or just to get that difficult angle around a ledge or bush, maybe 15 bucks:

and they've even got the mount to just screw it onto a regular tripod for about 7 bucks:

So if you do all that and aren't interested in the helmet mount stuff, just get the "naked" camera. Make sure it's still the HD though, not just the 960:

Even when I start biking with it, I don't think the helmet mount will be my most used position.
With all the mounting options they have, I'm surprised they don't have a Wanker Mount for people who live in Nudist colonies :ahhh: But I digress
