Screengrabbed this little snippet -- apparently 2019 was the 2nd wettest Spring on recorded history in Utah.

Just spent nearly 3 weeks south of I-70 and the desert is lit up real good...and it just got another soaking. The next three weeks is going to be the time to be there.
I took these photos at the top of the Alpine Loop last Friday. Still 2+ feet of snow up there with 3-4' deep snow banks still on some north facing sections of the trails. Crazy.

I stayed at Eardley Canyon right up against the Reef near I-70 for three nights just before coming home. Indeed, the bugs around camp where out in force, but once the sun when down and the fire got going they were gone. Don't hang around camp when the sun is shining!

This is the little salt lake, in Parowan valley.
Been dry for many years, last I saw this much water was 83-84
Lake currently has water 7 1/2 miles long and about 1 mile wide at widest point.
