41's death got me to thinking... "Read my lips, no new taxes" will be engraved on his headstone. It also cost him a second term.
42 - will have "I did not have sex with that woman" engraved oh his.
43 - "misunderestimated" will be engraved on his.
44 - will have "if you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan" engraved on his.
45 - ???yet to be determined???
^^^ "misunderestimated" :roflol:
He was famous for those little vocabulary gems. Some of them were moronic and others were genius. They were all comical.
One other quote that he might be known for is "mission accomplished."
H Dubya was a class act, much easier to see now that some years have passed.
I'm never sure how to rate that one. From a military standpoint it was mission accomplished as our military crushed the world's fourth largest army in a matter of weeks. What our military did in Iraq was truly amazing... Politically is were we really shit the bed as we had no clue what to do with the country once our military handed the management over to the politicians. YMMV

Penny Marshall, 'League of Their Own' director and TV's 'Laverne,' has left the building at 75.
Spent many evenings with the family sitting in front of the RCA console tv (we had to change the channel with pliers because the knob broke) watching Lavern and Shirley and Happy Days.

Here's a pic of a girlfriend of mine who has had the nickname Laverne since she was a teenager. She's 55 now. She kinda looks like a youngish Penny Marshall and is clumsy as hell. Kinda naive about things, too. Full on Laverne. When I heard Marshall died it kinda hurt a little bit.
Mean Gene and Bob Einstein. 2019 is waiting around to take a couple good ones.
So long Captain!
