There is a whole lot of truth to this sentiment. Everyone needs to take a step back from their dug-in positions and evaluate ALL of the facts prior to tweeting, posting, picking up a weapon and marching....etc. There is great wisdom (and admittedly frustration) in the legal system being sooooo slow to justice. It is called ferreting out facts from emotion, politics, etc. Again, the system works really well if it is run by the right people even if there are bad cops. Why? Good prosecutors and good judges will apply the law without regard to politics and social opinions.
As an aside, prosecutors need to prosecute bad people, which includes bad cops. If you think about it, cops and prosecutors are on the same side of the justice isle. Frankly, I blame bad prosecutors for failing to prosecute bad cops and I blame bad prosecutors for failing to charge bad people because it doesn't fit a particular political agenda. Justice must, I emphasize MUST be blind and the law has to be supreme over any political persuasion, policy, social knee-jerk popular opinion, etc.
