I used to tailgate pretty hard before each game. Then life got in the way and I am usually good for 1 per year. But we should do one this year.

Utah picked to win the South again this year, and many pundits have picked Utah to finish in the top 20 and end up in the Rose Bowl.
Aside from this, some even better news is that Washington and Washington State are replacing key players; Jake Browning is gone (although Gaskin is back as a Senior :angryfire:), and Mustache Minshew for WSU is also gonzo.
Some really bad news is that Utah has to replace three spots at OL. Utah's offensive line was mediocre at best last year, which is one of the reasons why Tyler Huntley was chronically injured. The last thing Utah needs is an even weaker O-line than what they had last year.
that's crazy

‘He’s a tough kid.’ Britain Covey earns the ultimate Kyle Whittingham compliment as he rehabs from knee injury and previously undisclosed broken wrist.

The Utes believe they are loaded at running back and plan to share the ball, even with Zack Moss getting 23 carries each game

Can Utah Football adjust to no longer being the underdog? The Utes enter the 2019 season as a clear favorite to repeat as Pac-12 South champions. Many key playmakers return on both sides of the ball, led by quarterback Tyler Huntley, running back Zack Moss, and receiver Britain Covey.
Huntley, Moss, and Covey all suffered season-ending injuries down the stretch a year ago. Utah's offense ran as smooth as a new car engine when these players were at full strength. They should shine under new offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig, who is returning for his second stint under head coach Kyle Whittingham. Ludwig served as OC from 2005-08.
The schedule sets up well for Utah to make another title run. The Utes have a pair of tough road games at USC and Washington, but will host five Pac-12 opponents in Salt Lake City this fall. They also drop Oregon and Stanford off the schedule in favor of Oregon State and California.

Utah is ranked #12 in at least one preseason poll.
And you heard it here first... field goals will be Utah's Achilles heal this year. Utah only has a freshmen walk on and a washed up UCLA reject competing for the job.
Damnit we had such a rock solid special teams unit there for such a long time. It's gonna be difficult to adjust to life without great kickers. But hopefully we won't need a good field goal kicker.
Sucks that half the team went to go play for the Seattle Seahawks...
I really thought we would be OK at kicker this year with Chayden Johnston, but he suddenly retired from football on April 18th. Chayden actually beat out Gay and started one game in what was both their first years. But Chayden missed a field goal that first game and Guy got the call on the next kick and it was all over. At the time Chayden was a freshmen so I know the pressure of that first D1 kick got to him.
We have another Aussie for punter so we should be pretty solid there.
