La Vista Verde Trail NEW MEXICO July 2013

Though we are from Maryland, we try to spend a couple of weeks out West every summer looking to get far off the pavement, mainly in search of rock art, ruins, anything historical and interesting. We did a little research and were able to get a little bit of info from one of the locals. This is my first trip report to this forum. There actually are quite a few petroglyphs right along the dirt roads in the Recreation Area. None of the signs mention rock art, but as usual if you know where to look....
A few were recent historicals, many typical petroglyphs from this region and then one area with much older art that was heavily patinated.

Now if I can just figure out how to intersperse comment next to each pic on this forum.....
