This trip was especially special. First off, my daughter leaves on mission in about 3 weeks and she came along with me. Second, my dad was also able to come join the 2 of us. Third, this hunt was my motivation to continue my rehab and conditioning from my broken leg. It's only been barley more that 4 months since my broken leg that required a plate and 12 screws to be installed and I have only been out of a walking boot for about 6 weeks now.
The satisfaction of setting a goal and meeting it has a lot of value. I was able to hike in unforgiving terrain for 6 to 8 miles a day, harvest my antelope 3 miles from the vehicle and carry it out in a backpack. I had drawn the number one antelope tag you can get in Nevada, and had I been there only for the tag, I would have stayed longer and been more picky, but there were other motivations for this trip.
I know there are a lot of anti hunters here on the forum and in the world, but there is a lot more involved than just shooting an animal
