yep. Talked to my dad today about getting our weekly outings started up again soon.
Was looking at snow levels about an hour ago and thinking I should have some time this Sunday morning...
...and you know what they say; it's better to be in the mountains thinking about god than in church thinking about the mountains.
Love the quote Don
I bought new snowshoes for Spencer and I for x-mas. He already found them. Nothing special but they will work for us. Just need one more pair.
I recently got a pair of snowshoes....looking forward to trying them out this winter.....probably not for a little while yet, though.
Can't wait...thinking about it. Need to wait for a little more base.
I'm ready. What I really enjoy is to ATV into an area, then snow shoe to the top. My favorite snow shoe location has to be Mill Canyon on the South end of the Tintic mountains near Eureka.
After December, you can ATV to the mouth of the canyon, but then encounter 4-6' of snow on the trail. Snow shoeing the 5 or so miles to the top is quite exhilarating!
I went a few weeks ago, right after the big snowstorm. Good thing I did, because 3 days later, the 18 inches was gone.
Got over a foot of snow at the house last night, so I was able to try out my new snowshoes in the backyard for the first time. Now I just need to head up on the Mesa or into the mountains :2thumbs:
