The log jams are gone now. When we went last year it was full, not too cold. It was in August or September though. When we did eardley canyon in the swell this last sunday it was the coldest water I have ever been in in some of the pools. Definitely take wetsuits, I assume it is just as cold in the hole.
Offtopic: how was Das Boot? we are going in June and I'm worried about a couple people getting cold.
I was in the Das Boot last weekend! The water is cool but if you have a full wetsuit you should be great. I would also recommend neoprene booties my feet where the only thing that froze.

Here is my TR from when we went. some pictures showing the black hole. Fun canyon. http://www.bogley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=82543#82543
I would be careful though with the rain, you probably already know that though
Unless there's some more recent log jams that I haven't heard of, you're prolly good to go. Keep an eye out for rain of course, and definitely bring along some neoprene (at least a 4/3, depending on your tolerance for cold).

If it's rained at all it might be a good idea to drive to the soldiers grave and make sure the canyon isn't flashing above you.... I was amazed how that canyon can flash from nothing but a one hour localized thunder cell 30 miles away the night before.... it was a real eye opener.

water is still plentiful, though lower than last year
water still very cold, we had full 3/4 wetties
no log jams etc...
Did the hole over New Years. As others have said; no log jams. Have fun!

I'm hoping to be in there on Monday, so depending on when you are going, maybe we'll see you there!
