Right Fork of North Creek Direct via Hammerhead Oct 2014
This was the canyon that got me into canyoneering, however I wasn't actually on the trip. I had never heard of canyoneering before and my younger brother got back from a trip to Zion where he went through Keyhole, Birch Hollow and Right Fork. After hearing about the trip and seeing some of the pictures I knew I wanted to get there and see it, but I didn't have the skills at that time so it was a someday proposition. A year later I was on a trip to Zion and saw my first pictures of the Subway reminding me of my earlier desire to see Right Fork and I knew that if I didn't do it now it would never happen so I signed up for a canyoneering course to get the basics and have been learning ever since. That was 3 years ago and after several aborted trips I was finally able to make it through Right Fork and my buddy put together this video.

I blame the lack of helmet on the 2nd day on the fact that I spent the night cold and mostly sleepless due to the sleeping bag malfunction. When I pulled into camp at the grand alcove my sleeping bag weighed about 20 lbs with all the water it absorbed.
