I finally got a chance to ride the Wasatch Crest on Friday. I decided to access it from the Park City side and do a loop back on the Mid Mountain Trail. It ended up being about 30 miles. It was really awesome and so pretty up there! I took my dogs with me and this was the first time they've done a ride this long with me. They did great! They kept up the whole time. I did get a little grief from people about my dogs when I got up to the crest because apparently there's two short sections where you cross into Salt Lake County watershed. I didn't realize this before I left Park City and it definitely was not mentioned on any signs heading up Spiro. I tell you what though, Salt Lake people are a whole different bread of people. So uptight. There's so many rules up there compared to what I'm used to around Ogden. Some trails that you can only go up, not down. Some trails you can only ride on even numbered days. Some areas where dogs aren't allowed. Crazy.
