The only way I know how to burn DVDs is to throw them in a fire.
Burnaware is good free burning utility

I do a lot of DVD burning of movies that I've downloaded (just watched Gran Torino last night). I like Nero 7 and Convert X to DVD. Both are available (for free) at the same sites that your movies were.
Convert X to DVD is great for movies that are more than what may fit on your standard 120 minute/4.7 GB disc. It will actually compress them to fit on a single disc with very little loss in picture quality (I don't even notice it). In fact, I used this software for the movie Australia the other day and it turned out great.
I just used Disco's software. It did burn a dvd, but it won't play on my Blu-Ray or other standard dvd player. It will however play on my computer.
On the blu-ray the message is "Data Disc"
I went under multi-media, then create DVD video.
What am I missing?
:lol8: Nice answer, MtnMan! Nice answer! :haha:Quote:

Do you already have the video in like a AVI format or something?
Yes, it is in AVI.
I appreciate your guys help.
I'm using Limewire, can you give me a link for Convert X?Quote:

says--invalid file name.
ya thats the problem... it's AVI. meaning that it grabs codec from you computer to play the video and sound. some DVD players have that ability but most do not.Quote:

also I would like to say that limewire is minor league. you need to step up to the pros. :lol8:
Oldno, understand this can be a pretty open ended questions depending on how the file was originally encoded. Not trying to be a smart ass but its kinda like saying how do I go Canyonerring in Utah?
:haha:
I understand this may not be an option for you ... I got so sick of ripping, converting, ect. ect.,,,, now I just connect my computers to my TV's. Download it, play it, and delete it :2thumbs:
PRO'S??
I'm not even minor league when it comes to computers.
T-BALL maybe.
Still working on this
The convert X to DVD program said it will leave a watermark on the video.
I use my modded xbox to stream video to my TV. It is really simple and it looks great!
that means that it's just a trial program and you would have to buy it in order for it to remove the watermark.... buy it or crack it. :naughty:Quote:
