Zion with Kids
-
How old are the kids?
But just off the top of my head one of the local swimming holes is always popular with kids, there are also a couple rock art sites in Zion. The Grafton Ghost Town is kind of popular, but not my cup of tea.

My family and I were down there last week. We did about the same things you have planned but added Shelf Canyon. 3 of the 5 kids said that was their favorite thing. The TH is just up the road and on the same side as the Canyon Overlook TH. We had to help the small kids up and down some bolders but they loved it and the slot section is really cool for not alot of hike. I found it in Bo and Tanya's book Favorite Hikes in and around Zion National Park. The other 2 kids said upper Emerald Pools was their favorite.

Yes it was way cool and it seems like know one else knows about it. Its a great place to get a way from the crowds and the slot offers some relief from the heat. Great job on the book.

Thanks. I just wish parking was not so awful by the tunnel.

Thank you for the suggestions.

My kids (10-8-4-2) really liked the "Many Pools" hike in the book last time we were down there.
If you have a 4 wheel drive, we also really enjoyed Peek-a-boo canyon to the South and East of the park. I wouldn't recommend the road in without a 4x4, however; the sand was pretty deep in spots.
