Does anyone know how to resize photos for posting from a MacBook?
If you're talking resizing what you have on your computer, this software resizes as well as a host of other things. Check it out.
IRFANVIEW
uh dude, she has a Mac...
"IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non-commercial use) graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista "
here felicia, try one of these

i use photoshop, but all of these are free ;)
for simple resizing you can also do this in iphoto
1. First, get your image into iPhoto by dragging it to the iPhoto window or icon.
2. Now, select the image and Export it from the File menu.
3. Click Scale Image No Larger Than and select the resolution you want.
4. Press Export and you should be done.
Thanks guys!!!! :2thumbs:
I have to wait to get home to try your suggestions Marc. I got the macBook for my birthday and it has been very fustrating moving from a pc to a mac. Most of the problem has been that I do not have large blocks of time to figure it out when I'm not dead tired.
I'll keep ya posted. :five:
No don't do it! Don't go to the dark side! Your PC loves and misses you.Quote:

If you just received your Macbook for your birthday you should have iPhoto (part of iLife) pre-installed on your system. iPhoto makes it super easy to resize your photos.
Test:
WooooHooo!
It worked!! :2thumbs:
Thanks! :five:
Yeah, iPhoto works ok. However, it does not have a quality setting. This site will only accept images below 256k and sometimes when iPhoto makes them, they turn out bigger then that. I used photoshop too.
*Welcome to the darkside. Once you get the hang of things you'll wonder why you thought you would ever miss a PC. :five:
hey, felicia, i noticed on your test photo that there are some minute jagged edges in the photo. i imagine the original photo didn't look like that and it was the resizing that did that, but i could be wrong. that'd one issue that should be figured out if it's not the way the original looks.Quote:

Those are JPEG compression artifacts. The file is only 28K, which means it's been compressed a lot.
ahh ... i didn't look at the size of the photo. good point.Quote:
