^^^That lady in the blue shorts probably thinks you're a stalker. :lol2:
I liked how the drone went under the tree branch, nice flying:2thumbs:
Drone footage or it didn't happen.
Love your video!
So my wife and I are a "thrill seeking couple". And this article mentions I used a drone in the park. SWEET. I hope that goes somewhere.

That is hilarious! Didn't even mention that flying a drone in a NP is prohibited.
You two are thrill seeking celebrities.
So I might have one of those self righteous accounts on the hook, interrogating me about why I'm flying my drone inside a National Park.
I'm just playing along but I may have tipped my hand, they might have caught on. This account shames people that misbehave on public lands by sharing their posts on their account. I don't actually disagree with what they are doing, it's good to educate people that certain behavior to get more clicks should be frowned upon and discouraged.
But if they post my video, shaming me for using a drone inside Zion, I'm eagerly awaiting it.
Here they are, messaging me after they probably saw an article like the one above saying I'm using a drone. Now if this were a friend, sincerely concerned that I might be in trouble, I would tell them. But not people like this who seek out other people to shame them, for the purpose of growing their own account;

And then I see in their stories, and obvious reference to me, but probably didn't want to tag me just in case they were wrong

Their page, and ooh I hope I make it there for the fireworks!

ahhhh well sometimes I just suck at being a troll. After some extended conversation with the account above, I ended up feeling bad for not being up front, that it was NOT a drone in a National Park, and I came clean, and apologized.
They, like many of us, just want to try with whatever resources they have, to prevent other jackasses from ruining these special places we visit. I assume they are based in California, where that super poppy bloom happened, and all of these instagrammers created new trails and stomped down thousands of poppies to find new "fresh" untouched flowers for that perfect shot.
I'd be pissed off too if I lived in California. Well, more of a feeling of despair.
So, no ill feelings to the account above, the conversation went about 3X longer than that.
did they smoke pall mall's and drink single malt scotch:ne_nau:
Sounds like detective fly...
Ha ha! I knew SOMEBODY was gonna bust your chops for doing that. I would think anyone with half a brain would know it's fake, but I'm not surprised they came after you for simply joking around.
If you would have made it sound even close to a real drone they'd certainly poop their pants. I would have trolled them for at least a week.
You should have told the gentleman drones are only banned in National Parks if you get caught, otherwise they are good to go....
....and then sat back and enjoyed the show.

The thing is, it wasn't even with my faked video, it was with my official hike video. The Daily Mail UK for some reason posted in their description that I used a drone in the National Park. They are UK so probably didn't get the impact of that statement. These guys saw that and reported it to this account for shaming.
In the end, this account and I are good, but I would love to talk to the people that reported it to them. That would be fun.
