CAC Call Out for Volunteers • Frye Canyon Cleanup and Graffiti Removal • May 21, 201
Attachment 82920
The Coalition of American Canyoneers is hosting a conservation project in conjunction with the Coronado National Forest in Frye Canyon (aka S’mores Canyon) above Frye Mesa Reservoir. Frye Canyon has become a popular canyon and is on its way to becoming an Arizona class “C” classic. However, the canyon exit is also a popular swimming hole and party area that is being overrun with litter and graffiti.
Come on out and help clean up this beautiful area and assist with the first Arizona cleanup and graffiti removal with the Coalition’s portable pressure washer. The project will take place on Saturday, May 21st starting at 9am. We are looking for 20-25 volunteers to help with this project. If you cannot attend but wish to help, please consider donating to help fund this worthy cause. Donations will go towards supplies and upkeep of the pressure washer. http://www.americancanyoneers.org/donate/
All attendees will receive a free CAC t-shirt so make sure to select your size and color preference on the signup form. Some of us will be camping out Friday and staying throughout the weekend to enjoy the canyon. Details on schedule & location will be posted in the coming weeks. We look forward to seeing you out there.
Please email your intent to attend at CAC_FryeCanyonCleanup@cox.net. Please include the names, phone numbers, and emails for each volunteer.
