Report: Former Alabama QB Cooper Bateman to join Utah as WR
--
After announcing his intention to transfer out of the Alabama program in December, Cooper Bateman has found a new home, according to Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Bateman has enrolled at Utah, and is expected to walk on to the football team, but at a new position.
Coming out of high school in 2013, Bateman was ranked the third-best pro-style quarterback and the 44th best prospect in the country. However, at Utah, Bateman is expected to compete for playing time at wide receiver instead.
The 6-3, 220-pound former quarterback originally hailed from Utah before suiting up for the Crimson Tide.
Utah lost three of their top four receivers from the 2016 season due to graduation. Bateman would be a graduate transfer and would not be required to sit out a year.

“This year is the most four-star recruits I’ve ever seen Utah land,” — Utah football recruiting expert Dan Sorensen

Utah football program signed one of its best recruiting classes in program history Wednesday.
Kind of an annoying list since you can't see all of the stats on each player unless you click on a separate page for each one.
Found it frankly a little demeaning that every black player recruit had a phonetic pronunciation guide for all of us dumb white folk out here in Utah. --- Marquis (pronounced Mar-keese)...thanks KSL. Way to make us all look like a bunch of ignorant crackers.
Good for Travis. I had heard rumors he was going overseas. He was a decent QB, just not quite good enough for the NFL. Glad to see he made it work regardless.
Utah's spring football camp opens with "really fast" offense

Insert eyeroll here...
Have you ever heard a team say... we had a shitty spring practice. We're really going to suck this year. LMAO
But with that said it will be hard for the O to suck worse then they have the last couple of years.

Utah plays BYU in their second game. Some BYU fans are very confident after seeing their first scrimmage.

15-0?!?
So that's why BYU is called a "faith based" school... LOL...
First comment... lol

15-0 LMFAO
Go look up "hubris" in the dictionary. Very first definition should be "1. BYU football program."
Every single time BYU says they're going to be undefeated they inevitably step on their dicks mid-season. Every time.
