Found this guy in the back yard (Pennsylvania). He is known as a Argiope aurantia - Yellow Garden Spider. I know its not the best picture but I just took this about an hour ago using macro mode from an inch away, I thought he was going to bite me. I used my 6 year old Sony 2mp beater camera. So with that in mind I was pleased with the result

Good shots of the spider. He looks like some we have in FL, but not as large.
He was looking for lunch near Lewis Peak and his tail will turn red when he grows up. This is what a 4x, image stabilized, pocket camera can do. (Canon SD850 IS Digital Elph) Not too bad but better lens' make better pictures.
Havent posted anything in a while and I like how these turned out.
