hmm... so many guesses. and so few clues.
is that cleopatras chair way out there in the background? if so, i'd guess that is the green river, somewhere roost-ish or the like.
just above crack in the wall. escalante. cliff in the distance to the left.
Yea, not very helpful here.
But...it does look similar to Canyonlands.
Eh?
i think most of the domes are to the north of fold canyon and out of view to the left. stevens bench is what you would see between the crack and cliff, and i've traversed it, its pretty flat. the high point to the right has me wondering as well.
For some reason it makes me think of hole in the rock...
guess I should have read other peoples responses before I opened my mouth HEHE
So how does this work? Since Carpey got it right he posts the next pic for us to guess at?
He nailed the area but not what we are looking at.
When I posted this I really thought the slightly visible notch in the center of the image would give it away.
As far as the next pic I would say the winner gets first dibs but any one should be able to toss a photo up during idle time.
Bowknot Bend
Hopefully this one's not too difficult. It's not a super popular area, but somebody may know where it is:

Utah?
I'm assuming eastern Uintas but beyond that I'm stumped...
looks like amethyst, but those three little lakes are confusing me. i don't recall them.
Wait, I've got a guess...
Is it taken from Marsh Peak looking east?
Here:
I had a tough time choosing a good one, had to be from a trip that I hadn't posted in a TR online. :haha:

I already figured it out (here's a Google Earth screenshot), but I'll let someone else get this one. :haha:

Hint: General location is probably obvious so I'll give you this. This lake is about 15 miles from the nearest trailhead.
Umm....
Utah
Hint #2: It's in the High Uintas Wilderness
Daily hints okay?
Hint #3: It is on the south slope.
Hint #4: Got ____?

was that a guess?
Nah, not really. I remember this trip report though, so it wouldn't take me long to figure it out.
Yellowstone lodge?
Many Glacier lodge
Oh man we were there many years ago. What a place. I will never forget the iron pipes warming up @ 4:30 each morning. 1st night I went out the door looking to kill the rotten sucker beating on the pipes with a sledge hammer!!!!!
Good Times!!!!!
PS we had the BEST fish dinner there with a bunch of Germans looking out over the lake watching the bears on the hill!!!!
I will have to wait till tonight to post a pic. I may stump you guys, we will see.
