Beta- Lord of the idiots. How can someone a) be so dense, b) not know who did the shooting at KS- AND be running for POTUS?

He probably does know. But with so few people bothering to even Google history for 30 secs, it's just more convenient to use an historical lie to make a quick political argument. Truth doesn't matter.

I totally get the message that this meme is trying to convey. Not bashing it at all.
However, the students that protested at Kent State that day were not necessarily innocent. They were engaging in outright reckless and illegal behavior. They did NOT deserve to be shot and killed, but they were not exactly innocent either.
FBI: People use more ‘fists, feet, personal weapons’ than rifles to kill
October 7, 2019
By Victor Skinner
FBI statistics are unraveling the liberal narrative that AR-15s, AK-47s and other “assault weapons” are a significant cause of murders and death in America.
Last year, there were a total of 672 deaths from “fists, feet and other ‘personal weapons,’” down slightly from the 692 killed the same way in 2017. The number killed by knives or other cutting instruments totaled 1,515 in 2018, while another 443 were murdered with hammers, clubs and other “blunt objects,” according to Law Enforcement Today.
The number of deaths from all rifles, meanwhile, was only 297, and that included bolt action, pump, and lever-action rifles in addition to the semi-automatic “assault rifles” politicians and the media love to hate.

^^ Exactly! I've poured over the FBI stats and this holds true for pretty much every state in the union. Hands, fists, feet, hammers, baseball bats, knives, swords, etc., are used in murders way more than all rifles combined. When I point out this report to my anti-gun friends their response is usually along the lines of, "Well, the data is skewed", or "Yeah but, an AR has the capacity to kill more people at one time than a baseball bat". :facepalm1:
Of course there's the oldie but goodie response, "Well, if we can save just one life...". They have no comeback when I point out that if they really believed that then they would be pushing to ban all hammers, baseball bats, knives, etc., not to mention cars.
Remember this? That was funny

This just makes my head hurt. Can any rational human being explain this to me how these regulations do anything to improve public safety, other than a very complex trap set to snag anyone that has anything other than a standard pistol, then the Fed’s can catch you in their trap and confiscate your guns and throw you in jail?
And this is at the federal level. Many local jurisdictions I understand have even more complex additional regulations.
