CA Senate Committee Bans Gendered Pronouns, but Fails to Follow New Rules

California Senate Judiciary Committee Chair, Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson, announced new committee rules last week to eliminate gendered pronouns from committee communication. No longer are members supposed to use pronouns, like “he/him,” or “she, her.” Instead members are supposed to break English grammar rules by using “them/they” to refer to individuals, even for people who identify as man or woman.

I think this is complete nonsense. It really won't be acceptable to speak he/she in English. They do it, but I'm ashamed. I am amused because the rule was invented and stupid, and the committee itself does not comply with it. The controls should be adequate and not make up any nonsense. I have an old English education, not what it is now. People used to teach differently. Currently, I only maintain my language, but this is the first time I've heard of such a stupid rule. I support it using different text documents as described in https://englishlinx.com by reading them. Of course, the rules change, and I keep up with the times when such services help me. But this rule is just a nightmare.
