Yes, I don't believe hummingbirds have developed an aversion to Venus Fly trap scenarios. I was just in Ophir canyon last weekend and we were noticing how close they would get to us and how they seemed to have developed a tolerance to humans being close to them. This just shows me that it is not just in Ophir.
Spencer had the privilege of one sitting on his finger while it ate from a nector feeder.
If you wrap your hands around a feeder and have the patience to wait until they get use to you they will perch on your finger to eat.
That's cool your nephew can catch them. Can't wait to see video, phone won't play it.
