Only down side is Washington and USC on the road. But -- Washington will be without Browning and Gaskin, so we might actually have a shot at redemption.
Good Utes should be great next year

"It's great to have Sione back in our program," said Whittingham. "In his playing days he was an outstanding defensive tackle here at Utah and had a lengthy and successful NFL career as well. We are also excited about the impact he will have in our recruiting."

Sione's cryptic wiki page says he's coaching for Utah AND NAVY, :lol8:
"Po'uha began his coaching career at the University of Utah. He has now taken a position as defensive tackles coach at the United States Naval Academy. He has settled his family into a ward and schools in Annapolis."

Early signing day...

Utah’s Zack Moss to stay for senior season, calls it 'unfinished business'

Utes Intend to Return for Senior Season
Moss, Fotu, Anae, Blackmon won’t pursue NFL early

I wish Troy Taylor was coming back and Utah would be a big favorite to win the South. As it is Utah will most likely be installing the third new offense in four years. There is such a huge learning curve with a new offense. It seems Utah was just starting to understand Taylor's offense and he's gone.

Coming home: Andy Ludwig hired to be Utah's offensive coordinator
http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=46464355&nid=294
Mixed reviews on that hire I bet.
I'm not sure what to make of Andy Ludwig coming back. When he was originally with Utah I never thought highly of his play calling. But the revolving door of OC's after him made Ludwig look like a rocket scientist.
The years between Ludwig and Taylor were pretty dismal. I'm just curious what Utah is going to do with their offense. The Utes are returning an extremely talent team next year and I'd had to see it all wasted installing a new offense.
Ludwig was the guy we Ute fans all loved to hate, but if you look at the #'s he was by far the best OC Whit has had. Granted, he was here at a time when we weren't playing the same level of competition as we are now. But he also didn't have the same talent level as we have now. Luckily we start next year against a team that really belongs at the FCS level.
After the parade of OC's Utah has had I've come to believe the problem with the offense is Whitt. He is just so conservative.
Norm Chow was good, but he also faced a nearly impossible task. Playing P5 schools with mid major talent and depth.
FYI - The comments on ksl.com are interesting and all over the board. Everything from we can now beat Bama to we are totally doomed.

Zack Moss is a class act all the way. He passed up between $4M - $8M dollars to return to Utah and finish his senior year.

I hope for his sake that he stays healthy all throughout the 2019 season.
Former Texas quarterback Cameron Rising officially announced that he will continue his college football career with the Utes.

I think Shelley is going to be hard to beat out as QB1 in 2020. Shelley has a great arm, big game experience, and he doesn't get rattled. Plus I expect to see Shelly continue to improve over the coming year. The one advantage Rising has is all Utah QB's will be learning a new system this year.
The big question this year is how many games until Huntley is hurt?

Shyne is gone.
LOL I'm a freaking idiot. :roflol:
Actually he is coming back. I knew he was a juco transfer, so figured he transferred as a junior in 2016. He must have come as a sophomore. Then he missed all of 2017 with an injury in fall camp. So he’s got one more year.

Season ticket pricing just came out. Prices went up again of course. They no doubt see a waiting list a mile long and a strong secondary market and know they can get it. I'll still be in for my 3 seats, but as I get older and lazier I am losing the desire to go to live games. I am considering selling the whole season as a package deal this year. Make a few bucks, but still keep the tix in my name for future years.

At my level they added a $40 facility fee a $50 Crimson Club fee and the tickets went up a bit. I think a total of $300 or so between my 3 tickets.
Yep, they went up 5% and $25 per ticket for the renovation. My per game fee went down (because of 7 games, instead of 6) but the overall cost went up.
Hey umm if there are this many Boglites attending Ute games, why aren't we tailgating before the games? :ne_nau:
Utes’ quarterback situation rated the best in the Pac-12

That's good, because Huntley is only good for about half a dozen games each year before he gets hurt.
