This is very entertaining...even if you're not a fan of this band, it's certainly worth the watch.

I'm quite familiar with Bad Religion...their music at least. So I was wondering what Greg Graffin might be thinking of the "political situation" as it is these days. So I looked him up and was quite surprised he hasn't said jack shit. Seems like he's only interested in selling records and getting people to come to the shows. That's fine and dandy, but I really expected him to be expressing an opinion, especially since things are so wobbly. Maybe he's a closet conservative?
I reckon we're heading in this direction...

And the one that really gets them going...

I'm a Gary Numan fan...even before his hit song "Cars" he was part of the new wave of "punk"...especially his first album. Tubeway Army. His first 4 albums are great, but after that he moved into a disco/jazz kinda thing and I lost interest. Never was a big fan of his industrial stuff, but that version of Are Friends Electric is pretty good. Here is one of my favorite songs of his...

Here's a very good cover version of that same song...

Yeah, I went on a bit of a Numan bender this morning. He wasn't all that interesting to me for a long time, but it's all growing on me. Even his industrial stuff is good when I'm in the mood for that kind of stuff.
I do like the current performances of his old songs. They sound like the same song, but with a bit of an edge and intensity to them that they didn't have before. Good stuff. Also, his voice still sounds great. Maybe even better than ever.
If you're not familiar with them, two albums you may want to check out are Depeche Mode "Music For The Masses" and "Violator"...they're excellent and just like Queen's "Sheer Heart Attack" and "A Night At The Opera"...you can't have one without the other.
Depeche Mode is one of my favorite bands ever and those are 2 of the greatest albums ever recorded. Most people don't really like their old stuff prior to music for the masses, but I always liked "A Broken Frame". Excellent album before they were the worldwide phenomenon that they became.
That is outstanding! I've heard of this band but never heard their music...this warrants further investigation. Nice.
