I believe the group size limit for Das Boot is 6, you have 12 spots open. I guess we should double check.
On the park website they say 6 for Upper Left Fork (Das Boot).
Jody and myself missed last years and we are hopping to catch this years event! Would really like to meet some more people from Bogley that I read up on so often. I was interested in (Friday~Eye of the Needle) (Saterday~Mystery with Kurt) (Sunday~Yankee and new canyon with Kurt).
So wadaya say?! Can ya sqeeze us in?!
:2thumbs:
It looks like the limit for Das Boot is 6.Quote:

And you get a permit for 6 dwn Das Boot?
And then all 12 of us go own the canyon together, if there are 12 of us?
Geez...this permit thing makes life difficult!
I can't get onto the express system for June canyons until 4/5, hopefully we'll get it figured out in the next few days.
Cool that I'm finally gonna do Subway! Thanks Shaggy!
Subway's been on my list forever! And Felicia/John and Alison on board too! YAY! And DiscGo too!!! And hey Trackrunner, it'll be nice to meet up with you again! ;)~
Wasach, that would be great if you wanna hook up with me for a leader/co leader thing. Spry, Echo or some other canyon would be fine. Whatever people are interested in (better wet than dry) or at least shady. June's gonna be HOT!
Sounds great Frank. So add yours and Jody's name to Mystery and Yankee/New Canyon?Quote:

I've been working the angles, but it looks like I will not be able to make it to the Zion fest; some Army stuff needs to be done.
Sorry Don. We'll miss you friend!

Would you guys be interested in doing a mass Bogley campsite or do you all want to do your own thing?
Okay. Here
[quote=nelsonccc]Okay. Here
Remember how you guys were saying that we should go in July or August so it would be warmer? Well....
Okay, this is a serious long shot..... but I need the dates of Bogley Fest bumped back if I were to make it. I just found out that I have an important family engagement at the end of June and I totally spaced it until I invited my brother to come to BogleyFest with me.
Is there a chance in the world this can be bumped back to July 10th-12th or later? I realize that just asking that question seems very vain but really it only shows how VERY BADLY I want to be at BogleyFest.
So, anyway if we proceed with the dates as planned, I won't be able to make it. Sorry guys. I will miss you all a ton and I can't even express how sick I am that I won't be able to make it.
Any date works for me, but I am all for warmer weather, warmer water, no wet/dry suits
Thoughts everyone?
I know DiscGo is the one that made sure we got this thing going this year, so it would be nice to include him.
This trip is quickly turning into a cluster****. :lol8:
It usually does. Don't you remember last year? I think we had 10 pages before we even decided that we were going to have one. :haha: It's the nature of group trips. All the more reason to respect the amount of time that goes into planning them.Quote:

Thanks for all your planning efforts DiscGo, Tanya, and those planning trips.
Take care,

Tanya- You have been awesome in planning this trip and I love that you try and look out for me. But my post was more of a desperate cry than a real request. As much as I would love to go, it really is unreasonable to move the dates for one person. Thanks though.Quote:

It took some lying, maybe I'll tell the story in the bar, I don't think I will publish it on the interweb, but I'm back in!
The weekend is free from Army shit, I have a baby sitter and the 26th is my birthday; I can't think of a better way to spend the day!
I'd like to do Das Boot and the Subway with the group.
I'm also interested in Englestead if Scott is taking a group.
I just put in a lottery request for Mystery for that weekend for 6 people. I will also try for Spry and maybe Pine Creek when those become available.
I'm planning to drag Josh and hopefully Cody and Brad down with me so we may end up getting our own permits and doing our own thing on the side but any extra spots on our permits will be offered up to Bogles.
I will talk to those guys this week and try to nail down commitments (well, from Josh and Cody, Brad's commitment isn't reliable)(Brad, I know you're probably going to read this and maybe my dogging you out will get a real commitment this time?)
Now that I've cleared up schedule I'm seriously considering going down a few days early, maybe even the weekend before. I have some family in Santa Clara so I could get a shower and a bed pretty easily. I might just burn some leave time and do some backpacking/hiking or canyons & climbing if I can get a partner during the week...
