If I met this guy face to face, I'd have to say that he's in a world of hurt because of people like me. I'd specifically highlight his point #5...I have no concern whatsoever about "saving human lives"...while I certainly wish everyone out there the best of luck, if a meteor took out an entire city I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep. If this guy is so concerned about "saving human lives"...why doesn't he fly to central Africa and get his ass to work? FWIW - I received this text today from a good friend of mine who works in the ICU of a major Salt Lake hospital... this is just fact from a front line worker with no bullshit added in.... make of it whatever you wish...

I had a friend suggest to me the other day that this latest "Delta" variant strain of Covid may possibly not be a variant strain at all.....but just another virus altogether that was hatched somewhere in China and released in India.
Not saying I believe it, but it's an interesting thought. Basically, China can keep their boot on the neck of the world by constantly releasing different viral strains, and reaping chaos in the competing nations.
And why has the vaccine stopped working? Why are pharmaceuticals now discussing the need for boosters when they insisted that would NOT be necessary for any Covid strain in the future?

Boosters have always been in the equation and were never ruled out. Its documented the vaccine is very effective, but for how long and to what degree has and still is an unknown. Ditto future side effects.
The biggest problem with Covid as I see it is getting the truth without the agenda spin of whoever is presenting the information. Which is why I posted the original message as there was no agenda and no spin attached. It was just the current facts from one particular hospital.
You hit the nail on the head. Truth seems to be more rare than diamonds. Finding it requires diving into way too many rabbit holes. I have an employee who is very high risk going through cancer treatment. She mentioned to me today that one of her doctors informed her within the last week that he has heard that all those hospitalized are those that have not been vaccinated and who have had tested positive for Covid antibodies. One more voice with nothing to gain adding to Ice's post. The vaccine works. Seems to work even better if you have had Covid, too, at least according to this one doctor. Who knows what the long term effects will be. Hopefully none.Quote:

My Mom just started a first round of chemo Friday. 3 weeks ago we had to put a sign up saying masks are require for entry due to her condition. Luckily she is vaccinated but with a deteriorating immune system its unsettling. Worse was when I dropped by 3 days before her first chemo, her friend was dropping off dinner with no mask. Come to find out after she left she's a proud anti-vaxxer and refuses to wear a mask. I flipped my f*cking lid. Just ignored the sign.
Who does that with someone that has stage 4 pancreatic cancer right before her first chemo treatment?

According to UDOH, there have been 5,841 “breakthrough” cases of COVID-19 in Utah — people who contracted the virus two weeks or more after being fully vaccinated.
That’s about 1 in every 258 people who are fully vaccinated.
Of that number, 353 have been hospitalized — 1 in about every 4,261 people who are fully vaccinated.
And there have been 21 deaths, or 1 in about every 71,624 people.
