New Projection Shows Fewer Potential COVID-19 Deaths In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Washington has updated its COVID-19 projections.
The university’s numbers have previously been used by the White House to show potential deaths in the United States related to the coronavirus.
The most recent projections show improved numbers for Utah. Last week’s model showed the Beehive State could suffer nearly 600 deaths by August. The new model has now predicted 186 deaths by August, with a peak of seven deaths in one day.
