Seems to me there were 4 assholes in this incident...the three meatheads and the doctor himself. You don't go up to stagers and chastise them out of the blue...you're just asking for trouble. Like walking up to three black teenagers and saying "Excuse me boys, but perhaps it would be a good idea not to dress like a gangster?"
How about "You look fat in that dress" or "You should get braces". How about "I wouldn't let my daughter leave the house looking like you do". Take your pick, dream up a few of your own.
Stupid move by the doctor...especially these days. Not saying he deserved to get his ass kicked, but he certainly should have used a bit more discretion...like keeping his mouth shut.
His wife is the doctor. Anyway, I agree. You gotta be careful what you say and how you say it. Not a smart move on his part. That said, I hope they throw the book at them.
That's too bad, hopefully they serve some jail time and he makes a full recovery. These are the kind of thugs that need their pictures posted publicly.
I'll say this though, if I were in a frail state, thinking it was a risk to my health to go to the store, that if somebody weren't wearing a mask it could lead to my death, I'd probably stay home and ask my wife to go to the store for me.
I'm going along with 4 asshats in the story... one already received his just reward, hopefully the other 3 do also...

I keep seeing people walking down the street, alone, with masks on. What's up with that? Do they honestly think Covid is around us everywhere now, or is it just virtue signaling?
Some people get sad when they hear you don't die of COVID in your 30s and 40s. Like really bummed out.
I walk the dog around the hood and Sugarhouse park every day without a mask. I keep one handy in case we get into a pack of dog tussling/playing and have to get close to other owners while we separate them. I put it on then, just cause we usually aren't 6 feet at that point. Other than that, I'm never anywhere near other people, at least 10 feet or more so I don't wear it in these cases. Inside any enclosed building with people in it, yep. Driving in my car, walking or hiking in open space, nope (unless my dog wants to romp around with another dog).Quote:

Back in '92 when the Rodney King riots were happening, I went to the grocery store and the streets were deserted as everyone was at home watching the mayhem on TV. The last few days, the mask debating has even topped the local MTB FB pages, with several posts of people arguing if one should wear a mask while riding. Cuz, you know, you violate social distancing when you pass someone. Crazy locos.
If you want to wear a mask, wear one. If you don’t, don’t. If someone else not wearing one makes you uncomfortable, just remember the favorite saying a couple months ago: Stay home, stay safe. [emoji3590][emoji2961]
