They can't. It occurred to me a long time ago that there is no shortage of people that will never make more than 10 bucks and hour...they simply don't have the wherewithal...the ability, the work ethic, the smarts. They go thru life day to day, month to month with no solid plans. Wishing, hoping and dreaming is fine but at some point you've got to roll up the sleeves and pay yer dues. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the protests (and associated rioting from time to time) haven’t let up. In fact, following the arrest of one protest leader over the weekend, they’ve only increased in volume. As long as the demonstrations remained in the downtown area, both Mayor Bill Peduto and many of the police seemed content to let the situation play out. But Peduto’s attitude took a decided turn toward the less tolerant side when the protests moved to a new location. The site in question would be the Mayor’s own front yard. And that was clearly a bridge too far for him.

The guy I've know for nearly 30 years who runs the paint store I buy from turned me onto these guys...Blue Collar Logic. Told me it was good stuff and I agree. Watch this one while you still can...what I have in common with this guy in particular is that we both live in mixed race neighborhoods and while most of the blacks (the older ones) seem pretty laid back, the younger ones have a bit of attitude that you can see from 30 feet away. Not all of them, but enough to where it's casting a sketchy feel to the area. It's uncomfortable and although I think I can see things coming pretty good, all this is totally up in the air. When it gets to the point that I can't walk up to the grocery store after dark then it's definitely time to leave.

The word is that this guy had a knife and the cops were there for a domestic violence call. Dude got tased and it didn't even phase him...cops might have figured he had a weapon in the car...I haven't heard one way or another.
I think from now on, if cops roll into a neighborhood on a call and there's a whole bunch of black folks around, then they should just bail out of there...forget the domestic violence, forget the burglary, whatever...it's too bad that women, children and other innocent victims won't be rescued or crazy people locked up, but the violence and vandalism that occurs if things don't go "right" isn't worth the trade off. They want to be left alone?...then leave them alone.
Pretty soon they're going to start assassinating cops as soon as they pull up. I think they're going to work themselves up to a bloodlust...forget smashing windows and burning cars.

I can't understand what is going on in the minds of these rioters. Do they actually think that their actions will bend the system to their will?
