The Pac continues to be a dog eat dog conference.
#12 Oregon is getting dismantled by #25 Washington
38 Arizona State - 35 USC
41 Oregon State - 34 Colorado
Next week's game against the Sun Devils is HUGE as I believe the winner of the South will have 3 loses. This gives Utah some breathing room in the Oregon game, which is the toughest team on paper they still have to play.
If Utah beats AZ State and Colorado they win the south.

Washington State is 6-1.
Washington Huskies goes down in flames to the Cal Bears.
As of today it's looking like the Cougars and the Utes with the winner playing in the Rose Bowl.
It will be interesting to see how Utah manages to f**k this up because right now the South is gifted wrapped for them. Last time they were in such a position the Utes choked to the 0-10 Buffalos.

What the hell? I come back from outta town to some alternate universe where dominant Washington falls to Cal, Arizona demolishes Oregon, and Colorado falls to the crappy Beavers.
Utah looking like the most consistent team in the Pac 12 right now. Is this real life?
Once again the Pac continues to eat itself alive. Unranked and 4-4 Arizona State blows out #15 Utah.

Updated above. USC now moves into 2nd place with Arizona in 3rd and Arizona State in 4th.
Anybody wanna predict who wins the south and why? Every week is going to be interesting!
I still think Utah has the best shot at the South. A lot will depend on how good Shelley actually is. Good thing Utah has a solid running game. Arizona State will lose one more.
I've been saying since the season began the winner of the south will have three losses. The only thing was at the start of the season I thought USC would have the inside track because their PAC schedule was probably the easiest in the league.

USC only scores 10 and doesn’t score at all in the second half.
USC drops to 4th place and out of the race. The Arizona schools are still chasing the Utes.

Either asu or Utah. Whoever wins out, maybe Utah won't fall flat on its face against Colorado.

ASU is playing good football right now and they are the only team in control of their own destiny, but they have two good teams (Arizona and Oregon) still to play and both games are on the road.
I have to say Herm Edwards appears to have Arizona State heading in a good direction and I'm thinking they might be a powerhouse in the South for the foreseeable future.

My heart says the U makes it to the title game, but we’ve been here and seen the Utes step on their dicks enough to not believe it. With out luck they’ll dominate the Buffs but ASU will win out.
What would be fun is the Utes win out and make it to the Rose Bowl and UCF loses and the Aggies make it to a NY6 bowl.
I think ASU will win out. Oregon and Arizona are good, but not nearly as good as ASU. The Wilkins/Benjamin dynamic duo appears unstoppable at the moment.
Oregon is a 4 point favorite over Arizona State.
Utah is a 7 point favorite over Colorado.
I think this week will tell the story of who wins the South. Autzen Statium is a hostile environment and a great home field advantage, at least that's what I'm hanging my hat on.
This is what happens when you leave your destiny in the hands of others. Utah plays before AZ State, which is probably a good thing.
The PAC 12 South just got really simple. If ASU wins both their remaking games they are South champs. If they lose one of the two Utah is champ.

Clay Helton is a goner. No excuse for USC to be this bad.
Man he looks super nervous...

Or maybe Jack Del Rio.
48 points so far for WSU. Not even half.

Who will the Utes play for the title? We shall see...bring on the Apple Cup.
Report: Colorado fires head coach Mike MacIntyre
Two years ago he led CU to a 10-4 season but Buffs are 10-13 since. Team meeting is scheduled for 11 AM. ESPN 1st reported.
Good coaches are hard to come by in the Pac 12 these days. Seems like head coach has become a revolving door position at several universities lately.
Matt Wells at Utah State could get some looks from Colorado and others.
So who wins the Apple Cup on Friday night?
Mike Leach funny stuff....

Washington has CRUSHED Washington State every year for the past 6 years....by an average margin of 24 points.
I picked Wazzu to win this year, but I'm having my doubts.
