Wasatch...dude, where are you getting all the LPs? Are you a full on record hound or have a kickass library nearby? Seems like you're keen on the remasters, too. All that music sure sounds better on a nice sound system, eh? I remember listening to a lot of the 70s stuff on a crappy car radio, never knowing what was really there.
So you like that early Scorpions, huh?...I dare ya to slap up a picture of the Virgin Killer cover.
I got back into vinyl about 3-4 years ago, and bought a whole new rig. I've been buying vinyl ever since again (wish I never sold my collection off in the early 80s) at that time was collecting vinyl since about 1964. I do not have that Scorpions anymore, just the first one. Here are a few pics of my rig.

You are HARDCORE! You've got it all amped up. I imagine it sounds really nice, as I have a friend here in Denver that's into high audio with the vinyl as well...powered speakers, super amps, thousands upon thousands of dollars in gear. I've hung out in his basement and listened to albums...his set up is similar to yours. Seems like you guys are a tight group...he's told me about places online where the gear heads argue about minutiae. His name is Scott Killian, he's a freelance camera/audio man.
My rig is a 1989 Kenwood amp...the kind that had all the fancy surround stuff that was popular at the time, but no plug in for an sub! But I don't need it, 'cuz it's remarkably powerful...enough to drive two sets of speakers...Cerwin Vega AT-15 (the big boys) from '89 as well and a set of DCM TimeFrame series. I don't bother with the turntable...I play CDs through a nice Blu-ray player.
Let me tell ya, it sounds AWESOME. And it's worth a fraction of the stuff you and Scott use. Not saying you spend too much...but I know all about frequencies and "warmth". Maybe it's because my gear is so old...perhaps they just don't make it like that anymore
