I think it's now or never time to make some kind of statement, if not today, they will be a sub 500 team.
Love is out for today’s game. Does this change your prediction?

Booyah! Looking good at this point.
Who would have thunk it Utah up 21-0
Hopefully they don't do the classic whit and coast the 2nd half and lower the game.

They will almost certainly try to burn the clock. Hopefully keeping their foot on the gas long enough.
Good thing Utah started playing conservative or this game would have gotten boring.
/end sarcasm
I think its more that Stanford woke up and Utah can’t defend the pass.
They got it done with a quality win. Undefeated (4-0) at Stanford stadium and they’ve got their number. Broke their 11 game winning streak at home too. That was a smash mouth game and fun to watch.
Now on to Arizona.
I think this was the version of Utah that the preseason press was allowed to see and later reported on.
It was a badly needed win for Utah, and if they can take the momentum from this game and roll it into the remainder of the season they'll go far.
Although the Utes still have tough home games remaining against USC and Oregon, I think the toughest game remaining on the schedule will be when they travel to Colorado. The Buffs are looking really good this year, and that game might decide who wins the South.
The Buffalos are the class of the South at the moment. They have a QB that refuses to lose, but he is one hit away from turning his team into an also ran.

So what’s the score this week?
Utah is favored by 14.
Well, the Utes are heavily favored to win this game. So naturally that means the Utes will find a way to choke in the final 2 minutes and lose on some fluke play.
That's my unofficial prediction.
My official prediction has Utah winning a heavily lopsided contest: Utah 38 Wildkitties 20
With last week's mauling of Stanford, Utah receives about a dozen votes, but not enough to crack the top 25. Stanford dropped out completely in the AP poll, and dropped to #24 in the Coach's Poll.
Curiously, Utah State is receiving just as many votes as the Utes, and BYU is now nowhere to be seen.
Nice opening drive.
The offense is playing with a lot more confidence and moxy.
That was a good old fashion dismantling...

I’m thinking the Utes will be a touchdown favorite over USC.
BREAKING: Freshman quarterback Jack Tuttle to transfer from Utah
https://247sports.com/college/utah/A...tah-123461533/
I figured that was coming when Shelley beat Tuttle out for QB2. Who wants to be QB3 behind another freshman.
Prediction time...who you got?
I’m picking the Utes in a thriller. Utah 38 USC 35
If USC wins I think they go on to win the south. If Utah wins it will probably come down to the Colorado game. Unless Utah wins this one and starts choking...lol
How about maybe Jason Shelley is really that good and was just underrated and over looked? Back when Utah was a mid major the one thing they were good at was finding the diamond in the rough and polishing him up.
I haven't seen much of Shelley but that 40 yard bomb he threw in the Weber game was sure a pretty ball, it also showed me Shelley is a gunslinger and doesn't play scared as most backups would have taken the safe check down pass as long bombs are always risky.
YMMV

USC's QB was at his high school's senior prom just this year, so I don't think he can stand up to the pressure of leading his team to a critical victory in the hostile territory of RES. Plus Utah is riding a wave of confidence and purpose, and I think they have finally gotten their offensive woes worked out.
I heard Norm Chow on the radio. He said SC’s O-line has some issues and will be the difference in the game.
Utah 45

Huntley is becoming a true dual threat.
Huntley 22/29, 351, 76%, 4 TD (passing), 1 TD (rushing)

Utah is a 10.5 point favorite. UCLA has been uncharacteristically dismal this year. This should be a cake walk for the Utes although we've all seen games like this where Utah was a heavy favorite and then stepped on their dicks en route to an embarrassing loss. Hopefully that won't happen on Friday.
I'm gonna take Utah in a lopsided victory:
Utah 45
UCLA 21

Really? You're picking the Bruins to demolish the new look Utes by 22 points?
UCLA sucks this year. For hell sakes they lost to Fresno State by over 20 points. :lol8:
Even if you pick UCLA to win there's no way in hell they'll get 35 points. Utah's defense is the best in the PAC12, and consistently in the top 3 in the nation.
If UCLA beats Utah by 20+ points I'll kiss your ass in downtown Parowan, and give you 30 minutes to draw a crowd.
