Some of these photos are amazing. I have an old SLR that I think I should dust off so that can try to take some similar shots. Is there any trick to photographing a sunset? Is there a special setting that I should use?

Not stunning like all of these photos, but it is one of the few places to watch the sun set from the EAST coast! Now that is interesting!

Not a great sunset by any means, but one Saturday from Navajo canyon.
We got pounded about 1:00am by a huge thunderstorm, calm the next morning.
Well, many beautiful pictures shown above.
I hope mine still add a little bit extra beauty.
Checking my pictures of Utah I ended up with these 2.
The first one was taken at Canyonlands, Island in the sky , 2010/11/16.
(not that it matters a lot where this one was taken, since it could have been taken on many places.)
The second one I took at Arches, returning from the Broken Arch loop, 2010/11/17.
