Once I heard there was also a pool at the motel...........I was sold. HAHA!! This is my 'Mommys weekend away' for sure so I opted for comfort. Hiking hard during the day with a cool group of new/noob friends, playing in the pool, dinner/drinks with cool new/noob friends and a nice soft bed at the end of it all. :haha:

I will certainly keep you posted, but if you want to call yourself...1-435-772-0170 for Backcountry and 1-435-673-3617 for WCWCD.
YHou may want to plan a contingency plan?

You don't need a permit for Boundary or Eye. neither route contains any technical skills inside park boundaries.

You can also easily do Eye or Boundary at a much higher flow.... 30 cfs is not a problem.

Rock, let us know your plans ASAP so we can adjust the lists... also... it might be nice if you guys grabbed a strong hiking noob to join you... nothing like teaching a noob to carry the rope. :haha:

Yeah, I suggested taking a competant n00b or two along with us, which I think is a great idea. Christian has yet to comment on that idea. So - if you're a n00b, and have a few toughies under your belt, and have rolled through at least 8-10 canyons within the last year or two, sign on up! First come, first served. Limit two (for now).

A small disclaimer: Be ready to carry rope, hike for long distances, and not be afraid of big rappels. Ownership of your own gear definitely a plus!

You and your friend are on the list for Saturday so far. If a break-away group forms for Sunday that will open up spots for you on that day. Stay tuned.

You said you will be camping. Are you going to stay with everyone at Smith's Mesa? So far no one is camping anywhere else that I know of.

Adam and I are hot, sexy noobs who are willing to do whatever. Or since we went canyoneering with tanya already we don't count as noobs? :ne_nau: More like experienced? :naughty: :haha:

Yeah Rock, consider taking Adam and Alex with ya.... they would have no problems. And the Saturday canyons would just be a repeat for them from last years fest. And besides.... it's about time Alex was introduced to the MIA so he understands how easy I've been on him. :lol8:

Yep, I have actually been monitoring the server capacity and our disk space lately. We might be moving again soon or adding capacity.

Coming Tom? Hope So. No fest is complete without the Emporer!

So far all the campers are staying at Smith's Mesa, so if anyone is staying in the park it should be a very small group, but that is great info to have.

Yeah, it would be nice to have the Emporer... most of us have crashed enough of your fests. It's kinda nice when you can just kick back and relax and let others do the chores, you should give it a try.
