Meadow Canyon, AZ?
nope. meadow canyon is not a tributary in the grand canyon.
O heck looks like a dripping spring to me?:lol8:
yes but which one?
Looks like something I ran into south of Kanab once but:ne_nau:
So I'll go out on a limb here and call it stinking springs.
But then again I ran into this is some other places as well .
this one has gone long enough. yes it is south of kanab. it's in kanab creek actually. it's name is showerbath spring.

This is a shot from last year and Is a bit tough to reach on dirt bikes.
Name the falls or canyon?
There is a name for this falls and but can be reached in a wheel chair so if you can name the area from were this one can be reached that is what I'm after.
It is a Seasonal falls.
That's my good friend in the pict. that is a Gogley fool also.
@Byron no i was on a 4 day solo loop from the rim above scotty's hollow, down scotty"s hollow and up kanab creek, then out flipoff and up to the rim again, then a walk back south to the car.
i am leaving on a grand trip monday. 25 days on the river. hopefully i will hike up to the slide of sussurus on the trip.
Yeah, if you're lucky, you'll pull into the beach at Kanab and run up there real quick...it's about a half hour hike (moving quickly) up from the river...when you get to that side canyon, make sure you go ALL THE WAY IN...the very end is where the Shangri La is. It'll be about an hour and a half trip there and back, at least. Beg and plead to make it happen, as it's awesome.
@Byron: wow, that's a neat hike!

Thank you sir...is anyone going to guess on that last one? What's the deal here? Shall I just hijack this puppy or does someone want to get it started again?
Go ahead! All yours
To anyone that can guess this place...I'll be very, very impressed. It's a remote, obscure canyon, to say the least. If no one comes close in short order, I'll post up some clues. My avatar is from the same place...
Is it in GCNRA?
Yes, and...no. I'll put it this way, sometimes it's in the Rec area, sometimes it's not. Chew on that for a while. This canyon does have a name.
Does the GCNRA boundary change with the level of the lake on the Navajo Nation?
If not, how could it "sometimes" be in or out? :ne_nau:
Well my friend, you just nailed it! Indeed, the spot that I'm in is exactly at the high water mark...a place that very few boats have been to in many years. It's a canyon on the south side of the lake, on Navajo land...the trick is to guess which one it is, of course.
Someone that has been here would instantly recognize it...but like I said, it's very remote and only those with the will to backpack in would reach it. Here, I'll post a couple more shots of the vicinity to help dial it in...remember, this canyon does have a name. Here's another BIG clue...it's in Mike Kelsey's slot guide book...in fact, he took these pictures of me.
I have this one but I'm leaving tomorrow for a couple days.
If no one has it by Monday I'll chime in.
Think more middle of lake.
Allright--I'm going for the double arch at the bottom of Anasazi.
There's a double arch at the bottom of Anasazi? Nice guess, but it's a little more to the east....LEHI!!! This pic is where Anasazi hits the lake, above that is a super tight, green mossy, hardcore stemming slot for a good 75 yards, at least.
That one is pretty damn obscure, I must admit. These canyons though...Moepitz, Anasazi and Lehi are absolutely awesome. It's a chore to get to them, I suppose that's why so few are familiar...more pics and Oldno, you got close enough so it's your turn.
Name the landmark on the left
Oh man...that's just way too easy. I'll let someone else get it.
OK...I'll take it. Gunsight Butte. What's up? Doesn't anybody want to play in this thread? Here, I'll post another one...should be easy this time.
Is it near Escalante?
Jumpup.
Ashdown.
