:eek2: Good luck at the doctor's office. Let us know how it went, and post a photo of the missing knuckle :2thumbs:Quote:

Doc said everything looked fine. That it hurt most likely cuz of the weather change (it just started hurting like mad and it hasn't really hurt at all) and that the last time we xrayed the bone had 20 degree angle and now it is 15. That was good.
So now I am mad that I listend to all these ninnies around me who said something was wrong. But they wouldn't leave me alone until I called the doc. I just didn't notice it before because my hand was still swollen, and now that all the swelling is gone, well it just looks funny.
It is Friday night and I am bored stiff! Guess I will go to bed early.
Just wait til you have to actually USE your finger...therapy is SO fun!
Here, here :haha: Although I don't consider 10 p.m. early, heh. Something's wrong with me :ne_nau:
all my family headed for bed...I havent had time all day to get on here so I'm making up for lost time :nod:Quote:

Luckily I didn't have to do any physical therapy. And for the most part it is fine. Just looks like I have no knuckle when I make a fist. When my kids are home from grandmas tomorrow I will get Spenc to take a pic, so you can see how silly it looks.Quote:

Having dinner with the sis :haha:
Made lasagna and cheesecake from scratch. My husband will be proud because I've been in the kitchen for 4 hours and that makes him feel a caveman like syndrome. Oh yes and a salad with french bread will accompany the dinner. Oh and yes, lots of red wine. Maybe that's why this process is taking so long. HAHA!! :lol8:
Mmmmmmm...sounds delicious!Quote:

We're eating out tonight cuz I'm too tired to cook and I still have an errand to run!
I'm off in about 10 minutes to go to the Thai market (which is three cities away) so I'll have all the proper ingredients for my gourmet cooking spree tomorrow night.
I'll be making Chicken Satay with peanut dipping sauce, coconut chicken soup with galangal and lemon grass, sticky rice & royal papaya salad!
I'm entertaining my mom and aunt tomorrow night (and I'm going hiking in the morning so I got to get this stuff tonight). They are my guinea pigs actually thought I have made the cocunut soup before and it was good ~ hope the rest of the meal comes out OK!
After picking up some sandwiches or something for the family, I'm gonna sit down with a glass of wine and watch a movie.
After 6 hours of yard work which included single-handedly tearing out about 80' of old fencing, I deserve to relax a little!
Cleaned house today, went for a lovely bike ride on BST until it started to rain just a bit. Made scallops with lemon sauce on them, and I got to eat them all because the kids are toooooooo picky!
Mmmmmm scallops in lemon sauce! :mrgreen:Quote:

Since I'm the one doin all the cooking, needing to keep myself entertained in the kitchen, I finally said "pooh" to picky eaters!
I started throwing out ideas, and asked for the same from my kids.
I started making wild and far out dishes (whichever suited our/my fancy) and if they didn't like it or it didn't turn out (which was the case sometimes), we'd just make soup and sandwiches or go grab a burger...but I really enjoy cooking much more, when I can make a varied and exotic menu.
Am I digressing? Is this allowed?
So what I'm doing right now is celebrating the fact that after a 10 mile hike today, and arriving back home much later than planned, I was still able to entertain guests with a nice exotic meal that turned out well!
It's taken a long time to get to the point where I'm this confident working with new recipes. One time I got it in my head to make an Irish stew that had me in the kitchen all damn day. Lamb stinks up the house too, and this recipe had beer in it, and my family was complaining "Oh my god, what are you cooking?" I kept reassuring them I was making a delicious stew. Well come dinner time (oh man, I wish I had a video of this) the faces of the taste-testers one by one, became the damning evidence of what was to come!
I took one bite and knew I had worked long and hard to make a damn miserable meal! What a let down!
We went and got burgers and all was well.
And what I'm doing now a few minutes later is listening to the Decemberists  and reminiscing bout meals gone right and meals gone wrong, and dreading the fact that I have to go to work tomorrow!
Got to work :ne_nau: I think I have a case of "the Mondays" :haha:
Enjoying the day off from work.
John is hanging a new flag.
The sun is shining - time to get up and go get breakfast at the local dive bar.
Have a great day!!! :-)
Packing for a week of backpacking in Texas! Flight tomorrow!!!
