^ My prediction stands. All boils down to Biden having to step aside. The interesting thing is, he can't do it too early. He needs to amass the delegates needed to win on the first ballot, in order to both prevent Sanders from winning and to be in position to decline the nomination.
Then in dramatic fashion, he martyrs himself and endorses Cuomo, with his delegates voting in lockstep. But even then, if some of his delegates don't go along, moving to the 2nd ballot, the superdelegates come in.
Cuomo would be very tough to beat.
If Biden steps aside all bets are off... but I still don't see that happening because the DNC has nothing to offer him at this time... that could change...

The usual offers: a cabinet post or Supreme Court seat or sitting on a board of some company for large dollars. Dems wouldn't give him the SC, he's too old. Board seat for money, too late in life for him to enjoy the earnings. Cabinet post, like Sec State, might be interesting to him. He can pontificate and be in the news, but also duck away for days and weeks at a time not being the president.
Comes down to his wife talking him out of it. And she's doing it now.
Everything you mention is a step down for Biden, even Sec State. He has already been #2, there is only one higher rung on the ladder.
I don't think Biden battled to destroy all challengers for the past year to step aside now his goal is assured. Not to mention it would be completely unprecedented.
Cuomo is your typical wishful Democratic rainbow unicorn fart, don't fall for it.
And pray to God he doesn't. Joe Rogan said the other day he'd vote for Trump now, as Biden simply can't handle the job. A Sanders supporter. That is the type of thinking of 1, 3, or 5%.
Shudder to think of the Dem landslide if Cuomo takes it. As it is the odds are even at best.
It doesn't appear Biden is planning on rolling over and letting someone else be the Democratic nominee...
Dems conflicted over Biden's strategy during coronavirus – and angry at Bernie

With Bernie suspending, I'm not sure if this makes the road easier for Biden to decline the nom, or easier to keep it since he no longer has to expose his weak self as much along the way.

Or more accurately, it's a color that no longer believes the natural course of events take place. That Dems will subvert voters, history, and the law to get the preferred outcome of the power brokers.
ROFLMAO... Biden is done and has been for a long time. It's just Biden and the Democrats haven't realized it yet.

Meanwhile, at DNC Headquarters...

More than 16M mail-in ballots went missing from 2016 and 2018 elections: Report
Roughly 16 million mail-in ballots ended up missing in the 2016 and 2018 elections, according to federal data.
Data from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and the Election Administration and Voting Surveys for both the 2016 and 2018 elections show that 16.4 million ballots that were sent to registered voters by mail went missing, according to Breitbart News.
In the 2018 election, about 42.4 million ballots were mailed to registered voters. Of those mailed, more than 1 million were undeliverable, more than 430,000 were rejected, and nearly 10.5 million went missing.
“Putting the election in the hands of the United States Postal Service would be a catastrophe,” J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, said. “In 2018 and 2016, there were 16 million missing and misdirected ballots.”
“These represent 16 million opportunities for someone to cheat," Adams said. "Absentee ballot fraud is the most common, the most expensive to investigate, and can never be reversed after an election. The status quo was already bad for mail balloting. The proposed emergency fix is worse.”
The problem was especially bad in California, where 1.4 million mail-in ballots went missing in Los Angeles County alone during the 2018 election. In Orange County, the number was 374,000. The California counties of San Diego, Sacramento, Riverside, San Bernardino, Alameda, and Santa Clara combined for 1.6 million missing ballots.

Biden Kicks A Hornet's Nest Named Nikki Haley
Dem Presidential Candidate Joe Biden is desperate to win South Carolina. It seems like it is his last chance to gain traction before super Tuesday. So he decided to go after former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, mistakenly thinking that she would be an easy target. I guess Biden was not paying attention as Haley frequently decimated foreign leaders that stepped out of line. Reporter Lovegrove tweeted about Biden bashing Haley.
"Biden has started criticizing @NikkiHaley more directly in South Carolina recently for declining to expand Medicaid here.
In Georgetown, he appears to start saying she “didn’t have the brains” before stopping himself and changing it to “foresight” because he wants to “be polite”
Haley was quick to respond to the slight throwing down the gauntlet.

Former Senate staffer accuses Joe Biden of sexual assault
WASHINGTON (AP) — A former aide to Joe Biden is accusing the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee of sexually assaulting her during the early 1990s when he was a senator. Biden’s campaign denies the charges.
In two recent interviews with The Associated Press, Tara Reade alleged the assault occurred in the basement of a Capitol Hill office building in the spring of 1993. She filed a police report in Washington on Thursday saying she was the victim of a sexual assault by an unnamed person in 1993, a copy of which was obtained by the AP.
It’s not the first time Reade has made an accusation against the former vice president. Last year, Reade publicly accused Biden of inappropriate touching, but did not allege sexual assault.
In a statement, Biden deputy campaign manager and communications director Kate Bedingfield said the former vice president has “dedicated his public life to changing the culture and the laws around violence against women,” pointing to his work passing the Violence Against Women Act. She said “he firmly believes that women have a right to be heard — and heard respectfully,” but added: “Such claims should also be diligently reviewed by an independent press.”

Carville's infamous comment, "If you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you'll find," may have done the president more harm than good.
But remember--NOW we have to believe all women.
