Biden will not be the nominee.
You heard it here first. (Unless someone posted above that I missed). (Excluding predictions pre- his resurrection, of course).
Nominee? Cuomo. Biden will win the floor vote first ballot. He'll decline the nomination. Delegates are free to vote on ballots 2 and beyond. DNC and party apparatus will install Cuomo. Biden needs to be persuaded, obviously, but the power brokers are already working on him.
His wife will be the one to do it. He'll come to understand he'd be a guaranteed Dem folk hero even if Cuomo loses, vs a very likely despised loser if he continues. He can't drop out now, though, since delegates are committed on ballot 1.

For better or worse the Democrats have already made their bed. Also it looks like Biden will have the required votes on the first ballot which voids all other possibilities.
But I do agree the Democratic establishment would love to hitch their wagon to Cuomo right now. Cuomo is doing a good job on the whole of guiding NY through this crisis.

With this pandemic being the #1 news topic, Trump has been the only candidate in the news the last month. Other than the occasional trip up by Biden, nobody else is even getting a whisper. Shoot - even Obama is getting more air time than Biden and Sanders put together. Meanwhile, the one opponent of Trumps that is in the news a lot is Cuomo, with his and Trumps back and forth bickering, with the media praising and propping him up and rooting for him over Trump, even when he says that same thing Trump does ('Chloroquine might be a good solution to this thing'). Rumors are floating around that he may come out as the DNC pick for the nomination. ????
The only way that can happen is if Biden resign's the nomination.... Do you think the DNC can talk Biden into taking a bullet for the team?
