Hmm- no guesses? I'll take a guess even though I have no idea. It looks like east of Escalante to me. Waterpocket fold?
This place is far from Escalante.Quote:

Millions visitors a year see this wellknown formation on top of which I shot this picture.
Philippe
reminds me a little bit of the Sedona Area.
Could be Mogollon Rim in the back
Yes, that is this area, Yvonne.
You have now to found the name of the wellknown formation that I have climbed to take my picture from the top.
Philippe
Haven't been up to the top, but it looks like the view from Bell Rock.
I should do the hike next time when visiting my friends in the Prescott area. :naughty:
If I'm correct, anyone can go ahead and take my turn. Otherwise you have to wait until tomorrow after I finished my term paper. I'm getting too distracted...
You've got it, Yvonne, this picture was taken from the top of the famous Bell Rock very close from highway 179.Quote:

You're up !
While we're waiting, I'll lob an easy one.

Looks like it's in a land called Colorado. Telluride Area.
Sorry, but this happens to be a state North of Utah. A sweet range not too far from civilization.Quote:

Sawtooth area?
I was thinking Absaroka range
The Absarokas are in Montana/Wyoming
My guess is the White Clouds.
The Lost River Range is my second.
Not the Sawtooths, but getting warmer.....yes, quite warm.Quote:
Sawtooth area?
I'd have to agree. If you are going by true North and 100% of maps out there, I'd say those two states are North of Utah.Quote:
Montana/Wyoming
White Cloud Mountains
Not the White Clouds, Not the Lost River Range.....but warmer on both than the Sawtooths.
